By using Neuropsych (neuropsych.io), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. What Neuropsych Is

Neuropsych is a cognitive screening tool. It provides browser-based cognitive assessments and generates scores based on your responses. It is designed for educational and screening purposes.

2. What Neuropsych Is Not

Neuropsych is not a medical device, clinical diagnostic tool, or healthcare provider. It has not been cleared or approved by the FDA, EMA, or any regulatory body. Results should not be used as the sole basis for any medical, educational, or legal decision.

The Cognitive Profile Report is generated by an AI system trained on peer-reviewed literature. It provides interpretive context, not clinical diagnosis. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for clinical concerns.

3. Accuracy and Limitations

• Test implementations are based on published research paradigms (Stroop, WAIS-IV, Eriksen Flanker, etc.) but are not identical to their clinical counterparts.
• Browser-based timing is less precise than laboratory equipment.
• Normative data may not fully represent your demographic group.
• This platform has not been validated on large populations. Scores are best interpreted as relative indicators, not absolute measures.
• Individual results can be affected by fatigue, distraction, device performance, and environmental factors.

4. Eligibility

Neuropsych is intended for adults aged 18 and older. If you are between 16 and 18, you may use the platform with parental consent. We do not knowingly provide services to children under 16.

5. Accounts

• You may create an account using email/password or Google OAuth.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You may delete your account at any time from the Profile menu. Deletion is permanent.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Free and Paid Services

• Free tier: Up to 5 tests without an account. Unlimited tests with a free account.
• Cognitive Profile Report: Currently free during Early Access. When pricing is introduced, it will be clearly communicated before any charge.
• We will never charge you without explicit consent.

7. Intellectual Property

The test implementations, scoring algorithms, website design, and AI report engine are the intellectual property of Neuropsych. The underlying scientific paradigms (e.g., Stroop, Digit Span, Flanker) are in the public domain.

Your test data belongs to you. We retain a license to use de-identified, aggregate data for research purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Prohibited Use

You may not:

• Use the platform to make hiring, admissions, or legal decisions about other people.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract data from the platform.
• Misrepresent results as a clinical diagnosis.
• Create accounts for the purpose of manipulating aggregate research data.
• Use the platform in any way that violates applicable laws.

9. Limitation of Liability

Neuropsych is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Neuropsych and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Neuropsych and its creators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated via a banner on the website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. For EU residents, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply where they provide greater protection.
