Theoretical Framework

The test battery is organized around the Cattell-Horn-Carroll (CHC) theory of cognitive abilities, the most widely accepted and empirically supported framework in intelligence research (McGrew, 2009). CHC maps broad cognitive abilities (fluid reasoning, processing speed, working memory) into a hierarchical model validated across cultures and age groups.

The domain structure mirrors the WAIS-V (Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, 5th Edition) index structure, supplemented with dyscalculia screening informed by Butterworth's Dyscalculia Screener and Dehaene's Triple Code Model of number processing.

Implementation

Built with jsPsych, the most widely used library for behavioral experiments online, with timing precision suitable for individual difference measurement.

Scoring

D-prime, span scores, interference ratios, Weber fractions, response time, and accuracy. Each test reports its own clinically relevant metrics.

Limitations

This is a screening tool, not a clinical diagnosis. It has not been normed on large populations, and browser-based timing is less precise than laboratory equipment. Results are best used to guide professional referral.
