See all verbal testsWhat you will get
The check
- A profile of word reading, sound awareness and spelling, like our other checks.
- Your profile right away, without an account.
Report
- We have not decided whether this check will have a report.
Who it will be for
- Adults who find reading slow or tiring, or who mix up letters and sounds when spelling.
- Anyone who wants a record of their reading skills before talking to a clinician or educator.
A check, not a diagnosis
When it is ready, the check will show how you did on reading and spelling tasks. It will not diagnose dyslexia. A qualified professional can.
Questions
When will it be ready?
We do not have a date yet. When it is ready, it will appear on the Screenings page.
Is there a dyslexia test I can take now?
Not yet. The verbal tests measure related skills, such as vocabulary, but they do not check for dyslexia.
Will it tell me whether I have dyslexia?
No. Only a qualified professional can diagnose dyslexia, usually after a full assessment of reading, spelling, history and other possible explanations.
