Memory check
We are building a check for everyday memory. It is not ready yet. Until it is, you can try the working memory tests we already have.
Try the working memory testsThe working memory tests are separate from the planned check.
Planned: visual memory, verbal memory and working memory
What the check will include
Planned tasks. They may change before the check is ready.
- 1
Visual memory
Watch squares light up in order, then repeat the order.
- 2
Verbal memory
Hear a short list of words and recall as many as you can.
- 3
Working memory
Hold a few digits in mind and repeat them, sometimes backwards.
Plus a few questions about memory in daily life.
Tests you can take now
These working memory tests measure related skills. They are separate from the planned check.
See all working memory testsWhat you will get
The check
- A profile of visual, verbal and working memory, like our other checks.
- Your profile right away, without an account.
Report
- We have not decided whether this check will have a report.
Who it will be for
- Adults who often lose track of what they were about to do, or find it hard to keep several things in mind.
- Anyone who wants a record of their memory before talking to a doctor or clinician.
A check, not a diagnosis
When it is ready, the check will show how you did on memory tasks. It will not diagnose any condition and it is not designed to detect dementia. A doctor or qualified professional can assess changes in memory.
Questions
When will it be ready?
We do not have a date yet. When it is ready, it will appear on the Screenings page.
Is there a memory test I can take now?
Yes. The working memory tests above are available today. They are separate from the planned check.
Can it detect dementia or memory loss?
No. It is not designed to. If you or people close to you have noticed changes in memory, a doctor is the right first step.
